B-Town’s very own
sizzling Kareena Kapoor will walk the ramp at the grand-finale of Lakmé
Fashion Week 2013, which starts off today. The Filmfare Award winning
actress is the brand ambassador for Lakmé India, the cosmetics giant,
owned by Unilever and run by CEO Anil Chopra.
Held
at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai from March 22 to 26, the event will
showcase collections of 87 designers, including Vikram Phadnis, Manish
Malhotra, Nishika Lulla, Rocky S, Masaba, Gaurang Shah, Swapnil Shinde
and Bhairavi Jaikishan.
The
event has been organized by Lakmé in collaboration with IMG Reliance,
one of the world’s best sports and entertainment event marketing and
management companies.
Kapoor
will not be the only Bollywood hearththrob on stage. Arjun Kapoor as
well as her ex-fiancé Shahid Kapoor will show off the work of Menswear
specialist designer Kunal Rawal on Saturday.
However,
she is expected to be the show stopper for the grand finale, clad in
the contemporary designs of Namrata Joshipura. Last year too, the
“Heroine” star riveted the spotlight as she strut the stage sporting the
apparel designed by Kallol Dutta, Pankaj and Nidhi.
Her new husband, Saif Ali Khan (“Race 2”) will reportedly attend but not take part, owing to his busy filming schedule.
